【瑞士小记者】留学申请心路历程 我的现场offer——Ms.Zet 瑞士小记者站：瑞士留学生的投稿， 中英法德四语，各版本皆由学生自己写作 留瑞对我来说，是段奇妙的旋行。在了解留瑞之前，我是打算留美的，所以我准备的也是托福 ，维立克 ，各种各样的essay ，当然留美的竞争也是很大的，在我以前就读的一所普通公校的班级里，想留美的，就不下三人。在我一切都快准备完毕开始交申请的时候，我通过雷梭勒办公室了解了留瑞。我瞬间就被吸引了，相比留美，它的优势太多太明显了。 首先，我最在意的学校出口以及名次等等瑞士学校完全不比美国差，甚至超越美国。其次，瑞士这个国家也要安全很多，中立国家，整体气氛也收敛许多，中国留学生数量也会少许多，而且最重要的，瑞士申请真的非常非常容易，同样等级的学校，美国要求是托福100，雅思6.5以上，而瑞士要求是50的托福，而且如果你连50都没有，有态度，那也会有名校愿意录取你。有了这些优势，果断放弃留美，改为留瑞。 因为开始准备留美，考口托福，英语也有基础了，留瑞真的都不用准备，硬要说准备什么 ，可能是报名费？就是这样，我依然非要焦虑不安，毕竟我放弃了留美，如果申请瑞士学校不成功，那我就没书读了，可是我也干不了什么啊在申请的前几天。所以，我疯狂打电话给过雷梭勒办公室里负责我的美女姐姐，问她录取机率多大，有什么案例。终于到了我考试的那天，事实证明，我一切一切的担心都是多余的。我的第一轮全是电脑上的考试，我申请了三所：圣乔治、莱蒙、艾格隆，其实我的爸爸妈妈比较偏向艾格隆，这所学校管理非要严格，出口也很好，在瑞士私校排第三。但是我比较喜欢圣乔治，这里比艾格隆会好一点，周末可以去镇上买东西什么的，压力也不是很大，而且出口和成绩也不比艾格隆差。在考完笔试之后，我有两轮面试，圣乔治的，和艾格隆的。 首先是圣乔治，我是直接和校长面试的，面试很顺利，面试完没有等待，被破格录取了。艾格隆和莱蒙也依次发了录取通知书。最终因为种种原因，我选择了圣乔治。所以说瑞士申请很容易，不用像我那么紧张。现在我已经在这里读了一个月了，学校生活嘛，期待后续？ Zet 2018/2/17 英文版 Going to study in Switzerland was a wonderful journey for me. Before I considered the possibility of studying in Switzerland, I had put my mind on the United States. So, I was also preparing myself for TOEFL, Vericant, and all kinds of essays. Sure enough, to go studying in the United States is a highly competitive business. In my class at a common public school, there were at least three students bent on going to America. When I almost got everything ready and started to hand in my application, I happened to know something about studying in Switzerland through Raleighs office. I was appealed right away, for it offered too many clear advantages compared to the option of the United States. First, the destination of graduates and school rankings are not inferior, if not superior, to their counterparts in the United States. Second, Switzerland is much safer. It is a neutral nation, and the overall atmosphere there is also much more restrained. The community of Chinese students in Switzerland is much smaller. Most important of all, it is really a very easy business to apply for an education opportunity in Switzerland. As an example, for the same level of schools, you need to get 100 points in TOEFL and above 6.5 in IELTS if you fancy going to America. Whereas in Switzerland, a TOEFL score of 50 points is required. Should you just fail to get 50 points in TOEFL, there are some renowned schools willing to accept you if you have an obliging attitude. I therefore opted for Switzerland. As I had aimed for the United States, I had sat in for oral TOEFL test. My English capability was acquired already. Truly, I did not need to prepare for it specially. But, I was no less anxious. I gave up the opportunity of studying in the United States, as it was, and I would end up with no schooling if my Swiss option was a failure. But I had nothing special to do several days before the application, so I called time and again the beautiful sister in the Raleighs office who was responsible for my case, asking her about the probability of getting admitted to a Swiss school and demanding some successful cases. At long last, the day of my exam came and went. All my worries were proven to be unnecessary. My first round of tests were all held on computer. I applied for three schools. They were St. George, Léman, and Aiglon. My parents, in fact, preferred Aiglon, because it practices strict student management and ranks third among private colleges in Switzerland. But I preferred St. George. I found it more pleasing than Aiglon, for on weekends I would be allowed to go to the town for shopping. The pressure would not be that high. Also, the destination and performance of its graduates are in no way below that of Aiglon. After completing my written exam, I took two rounds of interviews, for St. George and Aiglon respectively. I sat in for St. George first. I was interviewed by the principal. The interview was a success. I did not have to wait long after the interview before I was accepted as an exception with distinction. I received a letter of acceptance one after another from Aiglon and Léman. For some reasons, I opted for St. George. It really is an easy job applying for an education opportunity in Switzerland. 【瑞士小记者】 瑞士名校 博索雷学院申请感想 瑞士小记者站：瑞士留学生的投稿， 中英法德四语，各版本皆由学生自己写作。 接触瑞士教育是一种偶然，但是当我了解之后，发现这种偶然好像是一种缘分。以前，我还只知道有一个国家叫瑞士，殊不知这是我以后上学的国家。 一开始，我选择了三个学校，分别是阿尔卑斯山卓士学校，博索雷学院和艾格隆学院。待选择完毕，我进入了紧张的备考状态，我买来了英语书，也开始上针对性的英语课。这些成为了我录取的坚实保障。虽然每天会比较累，但是很显然，没有这些付出，也不会有之后的录取。也就是我们所说的：没有努力，何来回报。上英语课的同时，我还上了数学课，瑞士的数学自然要比中国的简单不少，但是，题目看不懂也是没用的，所以，上数学课主要是为了看懂数学专有名词和学习一些新知识。不久，我迎来了考试，三所学校的考试难度都差不多，因为前面的铺垫，考试中的我还是显得比较游刃有余，当然也有不会做的题目，但是我相信能在接下来的学习生活中补足。 【参访艾格隆学校，天文台】 考试之后，自然是面试，因为我还是一个外向的男孩，所以面对面试老师，我显得比较从容，没有紧张，我也能准确地回答老师的问题。 很幸运的，我陆续收到了三所学校的录取通知书，我很兴奋地与父母庆祝。在心里，我也很谢谢父母的支持，所有老师的帮助，同样还有我自己的坚持。 收到录取通知书以后，我与父母来到瑞士探校，在学校里，我们与招生老师交流，足迹遍布校园每个角落，一开始，我先去到了卓士试读，这是唯一一所安排试读的学校，在卓士的一天让我的天平为卓士倾斜，就当我以为自己会选择卓士的时候，一所学校闯进我的视野：博索雷。经过与父母的商讨，我们最终选择了博索雷，选择原因有三：一个100%IB录取率的学校，一个有着非常好的学习氛围及环境的学校，一个可以欣赏阿尔卑斯山山脉的学校。 【参访博索雷的新教学楼】 我认为，自己的努力是能被学校青睐的关键，当然，父母的支持和老师的帮助同样重要。写了这么多，希望大家有所收获，谢谢！ 英文版 Getting in touch with Swiss education was such a coincidence. It seems to be a fate when I got to know it. Before, I only knew there was a country named Switzerland, it was hard to imagine it is a country which I will study in one day. I began with three options, they are Lyceum AlpiniumZuoz school, Beau Soleil college and Aiglon college. Ever since I’ve made mydecision, I got into a tense condition for preparing the exams. I boughtEnglish books and started some additional English class. These have become asolid guarantee for my admission. Although I felt a bit tired sometimes, it isclear that there will be coming good result without these efforts I paid for.That is what they say: there is no effort, and where to return. At the sametime, when I was in my English class, I also took math lessons. The mathematicsin Switzerland is different than in China. However, it would be meaningless ifsomeone can’t understand the meaning of the questions so the main purpose oftaking math lessons is to understand the nouns of it properly and learn newknowledges. Soon, itwas time for me to take the enrollment exams. The difficulties of these threeschools’ examinations are hard to compare. Thanks for the previous preparation,I was comfortable to accomplish all the exam papers. Certainly, there are fewquestions that I can’t solve at this moment, but I believe it can becomplemented during my future study in Switzerland. After the exams, the interviews came next. As anextroverted boy, I was quite calm and confident when I face the interviewteacher. That makes me answer every question precisely and clearly.Luckily, I received three school admissionsnotices. I was so excited and celebrated with my parents once we had the news.In my heart, I am very grateful for my parents support and all my teachershelp, as well as my own insistence. After receiving the admission notice, Icame to visit all the schools that I applied for in Switzerland with myparents. During the school visits, we talked to the teachers and set our footprintsall over the campus. At the beginning of the tour of Zuoz campus, I attended inthe Zuoz academic probation day. This is the only school that provides academicprobation day for a complete whole day to have a better experience of theschool life. An academic probation day in Zuoz makes my balance tilting for it.However, a school burst in my view when I thought I was going to choose Zuoz asmy final decision: Beau Soleil college. My parents and I had a long discussionabout it, we decide to choose Beau Soleil instead of Zuoz. There are threereasons that we mainly concerned: a 100%IB school enrollment rate, a very goodlearning atmosphere and environment in the school, a very beautiful view ofAlps mountains to enjoy each day. I think that my own efforts are the main key tosuccessfully receive three schools’ admission offers.
