Bois du Petit-Château Zoo
The Bois du Petit-Château is the city forest of La Chaux-de-Fonds, and for a hundred years has hosted its charming zoological gardens.
These are home to about 250 animals from donkeys to wild boar – as well as picnic spots, fun playgrounds, and the much-loved vivarium with its large collection of fish, amphibians and reptiles. A visit to this little oasis of greenery (31'000m2) in the heart of the city is free of charge – and highly recommended. Gain a deeper insight into the animal world while on a guided tour of the vivarium and the Zoological Park.
